UFC 282 results, highlights: Paddy Pimblett outlasts Jared Gordon for decision in grappling-heavy battle
Paddy Pimblett is now 4-0 up in his UFC career. Pimblett scored a tough decision win over veteran Octagon veteran Jared Gordon in the co-main event of UFC 282 on Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pimblett tends to keep his head high, and Gordon made him pay for it early and often.
Gordon repeatedly uncorked hard left hooks that hit Pimblett's iron jaw like a magnet. Pimblett had his moments in Round 1, but overall he seemed to land the least impactful shots despite two judges. scored in Round 1 in favor of Pimblett.The second stanza was more competitive. Both guys had their moments and neither was particularly hurt despite landing hard shots. Pimblett landed slightly more significant shots and totals in a tie.

Round 3 will spark debate among viewers.Gordon held Pimblett against the cage for most of the round, but hardly landed any punches to speak of. The number of punches was low on both ends, but Pimblett landed a handful of solid elbows and knees with his back to the fence. All three judges scored the fight 29-28 in favor of Pimblett, but some judges gave different rounds to each fighter.

Pimblett told UFC commentator Joe Rogan after the fight that despite strong competitors earlier in Night , the pair deserved the fight of the night. Pimblett also revealed that he injured his foot early in the fight and wanted to work with Gordon to support charity efforts. Pimblett improved to 20-3 as a pro and 4-0 in the UFC with three stoppages. Gordon fell to 19-6 overall and has alternated wins and losses in his last four bouts.
